Working, Studying, and Still Falling Behind
Mimi
I’m a mother doing everything I can to provide for my children while working toward a better future for our family.
I’m currently in nursing school while working, but lately I haven’t been getting enough hours to make ends meet. I’m doing my best to balance school, work, and being there for my children, but right now our basic household expenses have become more than I can manage on my own.
Our electricity has been disconnected, and I’m also behind on our housing expenses. My biggest priority is making sure my children have a safe and stable home and that we have the basic necessities we need.
Going back to school to become a nurse is something I’m doing to create a more secure future for my children. I’m not looking for someone to take care of us long-term—I’m simply asking for help getting through this difficult period while I continue working toward that future.
Asking for help is difficult for me, but I’m doing it because my children depend on me. Any amount of assistance would help us tremendously and give us some breathing room while I work to get back on stable ground.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping my family. Every bit of support means so much to us.
